Curriculum

Our vision for every learner is at the heart of our curriculum. We deliver an academic curriculum that supports pupils' knowledge and understanding alongside opportunities to develop skills that are essential for learning and life.  We have high standards and we are evaluate our curriculum termly to ensure our pupils are achieving their potential. Our Curriculum has been carefully designed to meet the statutory requirements set out in the 2014 National Curriculum. It is brought to life through close links with our community, educational visits and visitors to school. We aim to deliver a curriculum that is innovative in its approach, with cross curricular opportunities and a planned class outcome each half term.

Religious Education is taught following the Blackburn Diocesan Syllabus. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from RE lessons and daily Collective Worship on religious grounds if they wish.

Please contact your child's class teacher or the Headteacher if you require any further information about the curriculum we follow.

An overview of the 2014 Statutory framework for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is available below. There are also links to our long term maps for each Key Stage.
