Admissions

Tatham Fells CE (VC) Primary School delivers maintained Nursery provision. Nursery sessions are offered to pupils in the term after their 3rd birthday. We offer 15 funded hours of provision per week (term time). Admission to our Nursery provision is coordinated by school and information can be obtained from the school. Please email bursar@tathamfells.lancs.sch.uk for further information.

Admission to Reception is coordinated by the local education authority. Pupils attending our Nursery provision do not automatically gain a place in Reception. The Lancashire County Council admission policy is applied in the event of over subscription. The admission number for Tatham Fells CE (VC) Primary School is 8 pupils per year group.

Applications for Reception admission need to be made to Lancashire County Council www.lancashire.gov.uk - school admissions. If you are a resident in North Yorkshire, then your application must be made through the North Yorkshire Council at www.northyorks.gov.uk

In year applications or an application to Year 1-6 should be made to Lancashire County council.

School Transport

Your child may be entitled to school transport. Once a school place has been offered, parents are requested to contact the Pupil Access Team to discuss this.

Admission procedures for pupils with Special Educational needs

We are an inclusive school and aim to meet the needs of all pupils applying for a school place. We will work closely with parents and professionals to ensure that a pupils' needs are being met.

Arrangements for admission are coordinated by the Local Authority. Professional supporting evidence from a professional, e.g. a doctor, psychologist, social worker, is essential if admission is to be made under the criterion for special medical or social circumstances, and such evidence must set out the particular reasons why Tatham Fells CE (VC) Primary School is the most suitable school and the difficulties which would be caused if the child had to attend another school.
